Bible School Quotes Hitler on Billboard Promoting Children’s Education

By: Krystle Crossman

Life-Saver Ministries in Opelika, Alabama is under fire from Alabama residents for a billboard that they recently posted in a very public area. What was meant to be an inspiring billboard about today’s youth and how they are the future of the country turned out to be confusing and to some offensive. The Ministry claims that this was never their intention and the billboard is being taken down.

The billboard displays a diverse group of children. Next to the children is the quote “He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future”. While this may seem like a harmless quote to some, the meaning behind it and the person who said it is anything but harmless. Following the quote is one of the most notorious names in world history. Adolf Hitler.

This quote was said by Hitler in 1935. He was trying to get the younger generation to join the Hitler Youth to follow him. What makes this sign even more confusing is the fact that right below the quote from Hitler there is a quote from the Bible that states, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it”. This is what led to people taking to social media and blasting the ministry for using such a confusing marketing method. They felt that it was highly inappropriate to be using a quote from Hitler and follow it up with a verse from the Bible.

James Anderegg who is the founder of Life-Saver Ministries stated that perhaps it was a poor choice for them to use a quote from Hitler. He admitted that perhaps using the “Children are our most valuable resource” quote from Herbert Hoover would have been a much better choice.

Ironically enough, Hitler was a Christian and used that to influence his followers to commit genocide against the Jews, gypsies, Catholics, homosexuals and any other groups he disliked. So the apple didn’t fall too far from the tree. Only racists and those who practice religionism would put up a sign like that. No excuses for these bigots.

Hitler got his program from the united states on what to do with the jews. In fact when the US went to war with germany hitler tried to appeal to ths black soldiers as a tactic to win by reminding them about their own citizenship in the US. If anyone have a problem with this quote than you can’t stop there, George Washington and most of the founding fathers of the US are responsible for horrific acts done to millions of human beings and they are celebrated not seen as grotesque people.
